Honolulu is situated in the southeast coast of the island of Oahu. It is the Capital of Hawaii. Although Honolulu refers to the city itself along the south shore of the island, it is commonly regarded as the entire island of Oahu. Honolulu means "place of shelter" or "sheltered bay" in the local language. Honolulu is also the home of marine creatures like dolphins, turtles and whales.
