Rock Climbing

I would always love to end on a “rock climbing note”. This is sport is really so close to me. And you can also find it in Honolulu, whether in an indoor gym or out there in the outdoors.

There are so many things to do in Honolulu that you could keep yourself busy every minute for 2 weeks straight; or, you can recline, relax, and let the resorts worry about your needs while you worry about soaking up the rays. I, personally, recommend the first option. Surfing, snorkeling, diving, rock climbing, sailing, jetskiing, hiking, cliff diving and so many more.

Who could pass this stuff up? Besides, what better way is there to earn a day of soaking in the ocean and lying on the beach than to push yourself to nearly absolute exhaustion the day before? Of all these, I find rock climbing the best pre-beach adventure to be the most exciting. With volcanic rocks being able to hold a reasonable amount of weight, rock climbers will be assured of fun, fun, fun!

Just imagine scaling a gray rock face with your hands clutching the chalky holds, your heart beating faster than usual, your arms getting pumped, your calves quivering as you search for the next minute foothold on a 50-foot crag. Yet, with every glance to your side, you're mesmerized by the sights of world-class waves below and a spectacular view. If this won't tempt you to climb, what will?
